Sowinig blessings and life lessons to encourage, refresh, and benefit our lives.

If you abide in Me, and My
words abide in you, ask whatever
you wish, and it will be done for
you. By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit and so
prove to be My disciples.

“I am the True Vine, and My Father
is the Vinedresser.

Fruit will not be produced if the vine is
not attached or is broken off.

According to Scripture...
If anyone does not abide in God he is thrown
away like a branch and withers; and the branches
are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

One may be able to obtain wealth,
start a business, get an education, buy cars and
homes... to name a few, but part from God,
we are like a ship abandoned at sea, alone and
powerless, drifting along without rudder or
oar, tossed by the strong currents of the wind
and waves.

True peace, joy, and fulfillment in our lives can
only be realized...when God is God in our lives.

"Abide in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself,
unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
Abide with me!
Fast falls the eventide; the darkness deepens:
Lord, with me abide!
When other helpers fail, and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, abide with me!
For a hundred years these words have been
sung, or spoken, or whispered by men and
women in time of need.

The words were sung while the Titanic was sinking.

In World War I,
Nurse Edith Cavell
repeated the hymn
as she faced
the firing squad.

It has often been heard in prison camps,
and it has sounded faintly through the wreckage
of caved-in mines.

If a branch is not bearing fruit, God will take it away.
Every branch that God prunes is pruned so that it will
bear more fruit. God also prunes us, and although, it
can be painful, at the time, the pruning helps us to
become more fruitful. Apart from God, we are broken
and unfulfilled.

Our humanity thrives when we
abide in God.
John 15:8 says, “By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit and so prove to be
My disciples.”
God Himself is the Vine. We are totally dependent
branches grafted into the Vine.
