Stay awake! Keep alert!

Be on guard!

“Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and

God will shine on you.”

God illuminates, enlightens, and brings light

into this dark world.

God's light dispels darkness

 wherever it finds it.

According to Scripture, unbelievers are asleep

and dead to the truth about them; they will

spend eternity in Hell if they do not repent of

their wicked misdeeds and turn to God.

We are to be filled with the Spirit,

to walk in spirit and truth,

to live in unity with all the Believers of God,

and provide mutual  encouragement to one another.

Jesus Says...

Stay Awake!

Keep Alert. Pay Attention.

Be Mindful.

"Constantly be on your guard so that your hearts

will not be loaded down with self-indulgence,

drunkenness, and the worries of this life, or

that day will take you by surprise.

Ephesians 5:14

For this reason it says,

“Awake, sleeper,

And arise from the dead."

This means... be prepared.

Jesus declares that God would appear like

"A Thief in the Night",

in the Gospel of Matthew.

 This implies:

That God reaches out

to us in exceptional,

 unexpected, and

unconventional ways.

Once we wake up... we

don't go back to sheep.

It's time to awaken the

inner lion!

We believe that we fall short when we have a narrow worldview and succumb to stereotyping.

Some people find this problematic since they can no longer defend the oppression and exploitation of African Americans on the grounds that they are inherently inferior to Caucasians.

The "cosmos" mainly

refers to the inhabited world and the humans who live in it... who work independently of God.

This "cosmos" is ruled by Satan.

John 12:31; 16:11;

1 John 5:19

By simply defining the word world as a global system dominated by Satan, we may better understand Christ's assertions that believers are no longer of the world—we are no longer ruled by sin, nor are we bound by worldly rules.

We are not to participate in the world's wicked acts, nor are we to keep the world's

 depraved and morally bankrupt thinking.

Believers are merely present in the world, but not of it, and do not share its ideologies.

 John 17:14-15

*As Believers, we should be set apart from the rest of the world. We must exemplify the fruit of the Spirit within us.

*We must also recognize that being in the world but not of it is required if we are to offer a light to those in spiritual

 darkness.

*We are to live in such a way that others outside the faith detect our selfless acts and manner and realize that we are "different."

*We are not to cooperate in the world's evil acts, nor keep the world's harsh, deceitful thinking. Rather, we are to adapt our bodies and thoughts to Jesus Christ's (Romans 12:1-2)... this is an integral part of everyday life.

Spirit makes us relevant to anyone, anywhere, at any time. The Scriptures proclaim that all persons are fundamentally equal before God. God's Word makes it quite evident that no one is worthless. Every person is significant, essential, and precious to God.

May we accept the common thread that binds the intricate fabric of life together.

We believe that by keeping God at the center of our lives, we may rise beyond restricted and habitual ways of thinking about other creatures and liberate ourselves from identification with the transient state of our physical forms.

Even if the earthly tent in which we dwell is destroyed, we have a structure from God, an eternal home in heaven that was not constructed by human hands.

May we make it our goal to please God, whether we are in the physical body or not. For we must all appear before God's judgment seat in order for each of us to receive what is due for our actions while

in the body, whether good or harmful.

Everything in the universe is bound to a single, limited time dimension.

The passage of time only and always moves ahead... and cannot be reversed or halted.

Time is a priceless gift. It is the most valuable resource we have, but it can never be owned, hoarded, seen, or touched.

We all only have a limited amount of time, regardless of how affluent or poor we are.

That is why we must use our time wisely and make the most of every minute we have by living every minute with compassion, humility, and thankfulness... while keeping eternity in view.

The way we treat the little things will decide how we manage the larger things.

What started in
a stable... is now a

Powerful

Presence❣️

Jesus literally states that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed.

By faith, even if it sounds impossible...

all it takes is a seed...

that mustard seed faith❣️

We grow our faith by

trusting God, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

We understand the courage and grace it

takes to unpack truths and speak out.

We lose our sense of self-worth when we don't speak out for ourselves and/or those who cannot speak for themselves. We become caught up in a loop of justifying behavior that leads us further away from our beliefs and, eventually, away from the person we were born to be.

We are followers of God, Who is Holy, Unchanging, and our only True Authority, Constantly-Present, Who is Just, Righteous, Merciful, and Absolute Love.

Our goal is to please God. We are intentionally attempting to make all that we do... pleasing to God.

Whatever we do, we are to work heartily, as for God and not

for men.

Colossians, 3-23
